Donnell Reed is an amazing artist. He is constantly creating, whether it is songwriting, arranging standard songs, sculpting or building. Donnell is well-versed in the art of singing-songwriting, country blues, and arranging classic repertoire for voice and guitar. Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, are some of his influences. Donnell has an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Columbia University in Chicago. In addition, Donnell has also toured around the United States, and spent many months performing in Nashville, Tennessee.
As an educator, Donnell has a plethora of experience. He has worked with kids with special needs in the Winnetka school system for over 10 years. Donnell has a very organic style that works well with many types of students. Donnell can show you the roots of the blues, Nashville picking, and how to sing and play the guitar together, how to arrange singer-songwriter material and many other techniques.
